With the ongoing increase of international travel, Immigration and Security are a key priority for airports wanting to automate the process and offer passengers a smooth travel experience at the airport. Passengers expect all airport touchpoints to be automated, including boarder control which usually creates increased frustration in overall passenger experience.
In order to help airports expedite passengers through US Customs, IER is offering a wide range of automated products and solutions for passport control, including Automated Passport Control, Mobile Passport Control and e-Gates.
The IER 919 kiosk, already well-known for its self-service check-in capabilities, is also supporting APC applications – from processing passport and flight data, managing declarations, capturing passenger photos, authenticating through biometric facial recognition, scanning fingerprints and providing a printed receipt for Customs processing – and is particularly suitable for airports willing to accommodate a growing number of passengers. Eligible international travelers arriving in the US can submit their customs declaration form and biometric information electronically and reduce the time to engage with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel.
At IER, we believe that a redesign of the passenger process from booking to boarding is an absolute necessity and we have teamed up with a number of airports in the United States to provide solutions around the facilitation of international passenger arrivals to simplify the overall passenger journey.
